Online fashion retailers such as Asos and Boohoo are swallowing high street brands ( Debenhams and Top Shop) but ditching their stores ; leaving the economy and tax revenues in a headache as jobs and business-rates revenues vanish .
Councils and property-developers are developing ideas to re-purpose town/city centre shopping centres as services & leisure hubs, and housing .
Personally I miss the walking-exercise and retail-theatre of shopping time.
Born in Brighton, I recall the previous Churchill Square shopping-centre of decades ago .
Im wondering whats going to be the future developments vibe as we emerge from this pandemic ?
